Rosary C. Castro-Olega, 63, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2020. She was born October 7, 1956 in Los Angeles, California. Rosary was a caring and genuine individual who would put others before herself. She is a Franklin High School Alumni 1974 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science: Nursing from the University of San Francisco in 1978. By 1980, she worked as a registered nurse for Cedar-Sinai Medical Center for 37 years and retired in 2017. After retirement, she continued to perform her duties as a traveling nurse as well as make time for herself, family, and friends. Since her college years, she has been taking the time to visit the world and travel internationally.

Rosary always took the time to attend every special event, birthdays, celebrations, parties, dances, etc. even if she just finished a 12 hour shift at the hospital. She enjoyed life to the fullest doing what she wanted and went for it. When it came to dancing, she danced like there was no tomorrow. She also enjoyed capturing every moment of her family and friends through videos and pictures in order to share with her family and friends. One of her favorite celebrities in the world was Kobe Bryant and was a huge fan of him and the Los Angeles Lakers. She loved going to the games, wear Lakers colors and/or Kobe shirts, and cheer out loud for her favorite Los Angeles team.

Rosary is survived by her three daughters, Tiffany, Tatiana, and Trisha; her daughter-in-law, Mayra; her husband, Mario; her brothers, Jessie and Joe; and her sisters, Conchita, Rosalie, and Pauline. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesusa and Pascal; and brother Daniel Dizon.

Funeral services have not been planned due to social distancing and the occurrence of the horrific Coronavirus. Plans to celebrate Rosary's beautiful life will be sent out once this pandemic has ended. — Tribute by Rosary’s daughter, Tiffany Olega
